Planning for the 2010/11 school year is underway. Contracts are being mailed out February 26th and are due back March 12th. If you are interested in our school please download an application from our Admissions section as soon as possible to ensure a spot for your child next year. The Nelson Waldorf School in B.C. is inviting all Waldorf Schools world-wide to join in a KNIT-A-THON for HAITI. AHWS will be taking part in this world-wide Waldorf Schools fundraising effort to support the people of Haiti.

We are asking AHWS students, parents, teachers, alumni and community members to help the people of Haiti by collecting pledges towards 1 HOUR of knitting on the day of the KNIT-A-THON.

We at the Alan Howard Waldorf School plan to hold our KNIT-A-THON event in the school gym to allow a feeling of school-wide community to emerge around participation in this event. We will be knitting squares in the colours of the Haitian flag to be later assembled into a blanket which can then be raffled or auctioned for additional funds. All funds will go to The Canadian Red Cross Society.
