The beautiful Maypole celebration and potluck picnic at Hillcrest Park was a delight. The famous and adored family musician duo from GirlFish Music Leah Salomaa and Sahra Featherstone accompanyied our talented ECE faculty. Fairy wings, Peter Pan Hats, daisy garlands, picnic baskets were brought and bread was broken with the Waldorf community.

AHWS students from Grade 3 to Grade 8 will be singing, “O Canada’ for the Torch Relay Ceremony marking Canada’s participation in this year’s Commonwealth Games on April 14th. At 3:00 pm the students will cheer on the athletes. At 3:30 pm Mayor David Miller will welcome athletes followed by AHWS students singing O Canada to close the ceremony.

Summer Camps at AHWS! Dates, hours and cost details below.
CAMP #1: We are pleased to offer an Early Childhood Summer Camp for ages 2-3. Lead teacher for June is Ina Poulsen. July TBD.
The program for 4-6 years old program will be lead by Kindergarten Teacher Katherine Fulford.
Children will explore the outdoors, participate in daily artistic activities such as mask making, sculpture, woodworking and painting. There are weekly nature themes, organic homemade snacks, water play, trips to the parks and new friends to be made. …
Planning for the 2010/11 school year is underway. Contracts are being mailed out February 26th and are due back March 12th.
