Skiing at Mount St.Louis

Grades Three to Eight enjoyed a ski/snowboard trip to Mount St.Louis honouring a winter tradition at Alan Howard Waldorf School. For the first time in many years it wasn’t a chilly -34 but a balmy 2 degrees with a slight drizzle. The ski staff were professional and friendly and the resort was surprisingly quiet. Gardening and Harvesting

Our Grade 3 and Grade 4 classes have carefully and lovingly been tending to our sideyard’s garden, bursting with flowers, edible greens, squashes and a wide variety of vegetation. The third grade is involved with farming, gardening, house building, measuring, weighing, analyzing soils and other practical activities that develop and solidify their skills for scientific observation.

Grade 6/7 trip to Haliburton

Every year, the Grade 6s and 7s start the year off with an excursion into nature.  This year, the two classes headed north to Haliburton, for camping, rock-climbing, canoeing!
