Our school derives its vibrancy and character from its setting in the heart of Metropolitan Toronto, where numerous natural parks, historical sites, museums, theatres and art-galleries become an extension of the classroom, enriching and enlivening our program. The school is only a short walk from Casa Loma, Canada’s foremost castle and former home of Canadian financier Sir Henry Pellat. It is also located nearby Spadina House built by businessman and financier James Austin in 1866. This historical site is located on six acres of parkland and is home to one of Toronto’s finest restored Victorian and Edwardian gardens, to which AHWS has generously been provided access for our students.
